About Rocky Mountain Toy Review

About the Author:

I'm a married father with a dog and a cat in my mid 30's, living in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. In my personal life, I work with the public and have a passion for adult education. I have held certifications for teaching numerous courses over the years including a brief stint as  a driving instructor. My passion for clear, effective education directly fuels the mission of Rocky Mountain Toy Review: writing reviews that inform. I have been using sex toys and accessories for over 18 years from all different types of categories. I started out reviewing toys casually by posting purchase reviews to various websites after buying a new toy.

2021, I started reviewing on a more professional level with Wow Tech, specifically We-Vibe. I started participating in focus groups looking at product development and design. From there, it grew into pre-production product testing, packaging evaluation, and then finally pre-release review postings.

2024, this partnership expanded to include work across other major Wow Tech brands like Womanizer. Later that year, I wrote a review that was noticed by Kiiroo and I was invited into their affiliate and tester programs. I casually write reviews on products I already owned, getting feedback and learning how to write better reviews that brought value to people looking for information.

2025 - Winter. It was cold. I embraced my love of coffee and writing, and continued producing reviews.

2025 - Spring, I found that I was really enjoying the writing process and had been approached by a couple of other companies inviting me to their affiliate and tester programs. I made the decision to create Rocky Mountain Toy Review as a way to separate my personal life and accounts from my reviews.

2025 - Summer, I registered RMTR with my municipality getting a small business license, and registered the company name with the provincial government as a trade name. I went full legit!

2025 - Autumn, We partnered with several high end and luxury toy brands to bring you reviews where limited information is available. We also partnered with several companies to be part of their initial launch into the sex toy market. How Exiting!

2026 - New Year new... everything? We invested in additional testing equipment, standardized our testing processes and review guidelines, invested in a large 100cm x 100cm x 100cm studio light box for product photos, and more. We have partnered with additional manufacturers to bring niche products to light. We also made the decision to migrate our website to WordPress. This has been a daunting task, but I'm learning a ton, and look forward to the enhancements the new platform will bring.

After licensing, I continued writing reviews, business as usual. It was then that I was inundated with offers to join programs, test products, and participate in collaborations. When I want to make an informed purchase, I get frustrated with reviews that don't give me the information I need and when I see "Honestly, no fluff no guff, and other AI filler", I close the site and move on. By participating in these programs, I can help be a source of truth by publishing a proper, human written, review. My goal is to make your decisions as easy and stress free as possible.

Today, Rocky Mountain Toy Review partners with over 25 trusted manufacturers and distributors, allowing me to provide the Inclusive, Honest, and Pleasure-Positive reviews I believe every consumer deserves.
