About the Author:

I'm a married father with a dog and a cat in my mid 30's, living in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. In my personal life, I work with the public and have a passion for adult education. I have held certifications for teaching numerous courses over the years including a brief stint as  a driving instructor. My passion for educating others naturally led me to writing reviews for various products. I have been using sex toys and accessories for over 18 years from all different types of categories. I started out reviewing toys casually by posting purchase reviews to various websites after buying a new toy.

2021, I started reviewing on a more professional level with a single brand. I started participating in focus groups looking at product development and design. From there, it grew into pre-production product testing, packaging evaluation, and then finally pre-release review postings.

2024, the initial brand's parent company invited me to do more of the same with their additional brands. Later that year, I wrote a review that was noticed by another toy manufacturer and I was invited into their affiliate and tester programs. I casually write reviews on products I already owned, getting feedback and learning how to write better reviews that brought value to people looking for information.

2025, I found that I was really enjoying the writing process and had been approached by a couple of other companies inviting me to their affiliate and tester programs. Spring of this year, I made the decision to create Rocky Mountain Toy Review as a way to separate my personal life and accounts from my reviews. I registered RMTR with my municipality getting a small business license, and registered the company name with the provincial government as a trade name. I went full legit!

After licensing, I continued writing reviews, business as usual. It was then, I was inundated with offers to join programs, test products, and participate in collaborations. I get frustrated with reviews that don't give me the information I need to make an informed decision, so I usually say yes, so I can alleviate that frustration for others. Rocky Mountain Toy Review is currently working with over 20 different trusted manufacturers and distributers to bring readers in depth and detailed reviews.
