This site was built for one reason: I yearned for better information in a single location, curated by somebody who actually owns and has used the toys discussed. I started Rocky Mountain Toy Review as a way to take control over repeated content removals and restrictions from various place I've posted reviews, and share that information with our community. What you’ll find here is actual hands-on testing, clear writing, and honest conclusions. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'm just a regular guy with a cell phone, lap top, and until recently an unused business degree. I figured, might as well put that schooling to use somehow! I was born and raised in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, here in Alberta, Canada. I can see them from my bedroom window every morning when I wake up, and on my commute to work. I chose the name of this site because of my love for the mountains and the outdoors. I have been using sex toys of some sort for almost 20 years now. My collection of toys is well over 100 now ranging from tiny little bullet vibes, to space-age auto-strokers, e-stim, kink and bondage, VR, wands, clamps, and a collection of sex games I'm not really sure where they came from.
Rocky Mountain Toy Review is a place I come to after a long day, the kid's in bed, my spouse is on nights, and Zen out. A few nights a week, I pour a coffee, update myself on industry trends and new products, and maybe do some writing. I hope to grow this site and this brand as much as possible to not only help support my family, but to make people's lives easier. Life is stressful, sex is fun, lets make buying toys fun too.
I personally test every product featured here. That means:
Firsthand experience with every toy
Notes on long-term performance
Emphasis on feel, function, and build quality
Updated reviews when things change
A sincere love for the Oxford comma
If a toy’s great, I’ll explain why.
If it disappoints, I won’t hold back.
If it’s not for me, I’ll still explain who it might be perfect for.
I partner with leading companies in the industry—including Kiiroo, We-Vibe, Fleshlight, and up-and-comers like Tingon— in various ways. These include beta testing pre-release products, participating in focus groups for the development of new toys, toys-for-review exchanges, and of course reviewing my own purchases.
That gives me early access to products before launch, sometimes before they’re even finalized! I use that access to share early impressions, offer insights, and give you an idea of what to expect. It also keeps me up to date on the industry direction, see up and coming companies, and partner with companies to promote new releases.
Each company I have partnered with are in agreement with RMTR, that a review should be honest highlighting the good and bad. If I review a truly bad toy, I will email their affiliate and brand management team to discuss my concerns, which are then taken to their production and design teams for review. This is part of why I love the beta-programs; I actively get to help ensure you only get the best products.
I will not participate in paid positive reviews or purchase-review-refund scams.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That support helps cover:

Investing in additional product to review for you
